Gearbox WPA 120

The WPA120 is a large-model unit within the WP series of horizontal worm gear reducers, featuring a 120mm center distance. It utilizes a robust, thickened HT200 cast-iron housing and a 90-degree vertical crossed-axis transmission design. Engineered for high torque, high rigidity, and impact resistance, it is suitable for the long-term, continuous operation of high-power, heavy-duty equipment.
Compared to the smaller WPA80 and WPA100 models, the WPA120 offers significantly higher load-bearing capacity. It supports the installation of components such as sprockets and pulleys and delivers high rated output torque, making it a standard transmission component for large-scale mixing systems, heavy-duty conveyors, building material machinery, auxiliary mining equipment, and large environmental protection machinery.
The unit is manufactured in strict accordance with the GB/T 9147 national standard for worm gear reducers and undergoes comprehensive factory load testing. It features a mechanical self-locking function, making it ideal for lifting, tilting, and mixing equipment that requires anti-reversal capabilities. The housing is cast as a single unit from HT200 gray cast iron, featuring thickened walls, robust mounting feet, and reinforced heat-dissipation ribs. The unit boasts significant mass and high rigidity, ensuring stability and resistance to vibration, deformation, or cracking during prolonged full-load operation. Finished with a high-temperature, rust-resistant baked coating that is dust- and moisture-proof, it is suitable for dusty or humid workshops and mild outdoor environments, effectively overcoming the tendency of aluminum-alloy gearboxes to deform under heavy loads.

 

- Heavy-Duty, Wear-Resistant Worm Gear Set
The worm is forged from 40Cr alloy steel, carburized, quenched, and precision-ground to a tooth surface hardness of HRC58–62, ensuring impact resistance and preventing tooth breakage. The worm gear is centrifugally cast from bronze, resulting in a dense, porosity-free structure with a low friction coefficient; this design absorbs the instantaneous shocks associated with the start-stop cycles of mixing and conveying operations, thereby minimizing tooth surface wear.
