What is a 4HP Single-Phase Motor?

This 4HP single-phase motor, with a rated output power of 3.0kW, is specifically designed for equipment with only a single-phase power supply. Many factories, workshops, agricultural sites, and shops lack a three-phase power grid. Ordinary low-power single-phase motors often lack the power to start or handle heavy loads. This model employs a dual-capacitor structure (starting capacitor + running capacitor) to solve the problem of insufficient starting torque with single-phase power.

The entire unit is manufactured according to IEC electrical safety standards and undergoes dynamic balancing to reduce operating vibration and noise. It supports 50Hz and 60Hz power supply environments and can be used for direct drive or in conjunction with a reducer or belt drive. Suitable for intermittent and continuous 24-hour operation (S1), it is a reliable power solution for scenarios without three-phase power.

 

 

1) Pure Copper Winding, Reducing Heat Generation and Power Attenuation

The stator coils are all wound with high-purity copper enameled wire. Compared to aluminum wire and copper-clad aluminum motors, the coil internal resistance is lower, resulting in less heat generation during operation. A significant power drop will not occur during heavy-load, long-term operation. The windings have better anti-aging performance, reducing coil burnout failures. Suitable for frequent start-stop and long-term load conditions, extending the overall service life of the machine.

 

2) Dual-capacitor circuit improves the starting weakness of single-phase motors

Single-phase motors inherently have weak starting capabilities, and easily become noisy and fail to start under heavy loads. This motor features independently configured starting and running capacitors: providing a large starting torque at startup, and switching to the running capacitor to maintain efficient operation once the speed is up. It can still start reliably within a voltage fluctuation range of ±10%, demonstrating stable performance in heavy-load starting scenarios for compressors, pumps, and woodworking equipment.

 

3) Upgraded safety protection, adaptable to various working conditions.

The IP55 protection rating effectively prevents dust, water mist, and debris from entering the machine, making it suitable for various environments such as workshops, outdoors, and humid factories. The F-class insulation material provides excellent high-temperature resistance and leakage prevention, eliminating potential electrical safety hazards. The streamlined structure and good sealing performance prevent dust and water accumulation, requiring no complex daily maintenance; only periodic cleaning of the cooling fan is needed for long-term stable operation.
