Product Introduction

What is the Industrial Chain Sprocket?

Industrial chain sprockets are the core meshing components of industrial chain drive systems. Through precise tooth meshing with roller chains and drive chains, they achieve torque transmission, speed regulation, and synchronous power transmission. As a core pairing accessory of the transmission system, sprockets directly determine the transmission accuracy, operational stability, and chain lifespan of equipment. They widely replace traditional gear and belt drive structures, possessing core advantages such as precise transmission ratio, wide center distance adaptability, impact resistance, and low maintenance requirements.

Our factory has been deeply involved in the R&D and manufacturing of industrial sprockets for 18 years, strictly adhering to the full range of industry standards including GB/T1243, ISO, ANSI, and JIS. We can produce various standard general-purpose sprockets and non-standard customized sprocket products. All sprockets are machined using precision hobbing and milling processes, resulting in full tooth profiles, precise indexing, and high coaxiality. This effectively solves common problems such as tooth skipping, chain derailment, abnormal noise, excessive wear, and transmission vibration, making them suitable for use in industrial equipment in light industry, heavy industry, clean environments, and harsh conditions.

Types of Sprockets

1. Standard Precision Sprockets (Single/Double/Triple Row)
Covering national standard models such as 06B, 08B, 10A, 12A, 16A, and 20A, as well as the full range of ANSI and JIS specifications. The teeth are precision hobbed, resulting in minimal indexing error, smooth meshing, and seamless transmission. Single-row sprockets are suitable for light-load, conventional transmission scenarios, while double-row and triple-row sprockets enhance overall load-bearing capacity and stability, making them suitable for medium- and high-frequency continuous operation equipment. Widely used in automated production lines, packaging machinery, textile machinery, conveying equipment, and other general industrial applications.

2. High-Strength Heavy-Duty Sprockets
Specifically developed for high-load, high-impact, and continuous operation conditions in mining, metallurgy, ports, and construction machinery. Made of 42CrMo alloy steel, undergoing overall tempering and high-frequency quenching hardening of the tooth surface. 1. **High-hardness, compression-resistant, and wear-resistant sprockets:** The sprocket body is highly resilient and resistant to breakage and deformation, capable of withstanding heavy-duty start-stop and impact loads for extended periods. This effectively avoids the tooth breakage, wear, deformation, and loosening issues common in ordinary sprockets, significantly reducing the frequency of maintenance for heavy industrial equipment.

3. Stainless Steel Corrosion-Resistant Sprockets:

Made of 304/316 food-grade stainless steel, these sprockets are non-magnetic, rust-resistant, acid and alkali resistant, corrosion resistant, high-temperature resistant, and low-temperature resistant. They are free from electroplating pollution and have a clean, impurity-free surface. Suitable for special working conditions requiring high cleanliness, such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cold chain logistics, seawater operations, and environmental protection equipment. They meet industry safety standards and will not rust, jam, or shed shavings during long-term operation.

4. Custom-Made Non-Standard Sprockets:

We support customization of various non-standard sprocket structures, including non-standard toothed sprockets, sprockets with special tooth counts/pitches, sprockets with extended shaft holes, sprockets with widened keyways, stepped sprockets, idler sprockets, and sprockets with double-sided shoulders. We can customize molds and produce according to customers' equipment drawings, installation dimensions, operating parameters, and special transmission requirements, solving the industry pain points of difficulty in procuring and adapting parts for imported and non-standard equipment. We support small-batch sampling and large-batch mass production.

Features

- With hardened tooth surfaces and toughened tooth roots, this sprocket boasts dual properties of resistance to tooth chipping and impact. Utilizing a specialized heat treatment process for sprockets: overall tempering of the sprocket body ensures toughness, while high-frequency quenching of the tooth surfaces guarantees high hardness, achieving a composite mechanical property of surface wear resistance, tooth root crack resistance, and overall impact resistance. This eliminates common problems in ordinary sprockets such as rapid tooth tip grinding, tooth root chipping, and sprocket body breakage. The forged heavy-duty sprocket features dense grains, resulting in stronger resistance to alternating fatigue, making it suitable for 24-hour continuous heavy-duty operation.

- Precision machining and dynamic balancing ensure zero vibration during high-speed operation.

The finished product undergoes secondary precision machining, hole tolerance correction, and dynamic balancing testing to strictly control circular runout and coaxiality. After installation, there is no eccentricity or wobbling; the chain experiences uniform force, does not deviate, and does not experience one-sided wear. This effectively reduces equipment vibration, abnormal noise, and power loss, ensuring long-term stable operation of high-speed production lines and precision transmission equipment, and minimizing downtime for calibration.

- Multi-material and process matching for precise adaptation to all working conditions.

Different process matching is applied to different working conditions: blackened carbon steel sprockets are suitable for general dry and dusty conditions, providing rust and oxidation prevention; hardened alloy steel sprockets are specifically designed for heavy-duty impact, high-temperature, and continuous operation; stainless steel sprockets are specifically designed for water washing, acid and alkali exposure, salt spray, and cleanroom environments in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Compared to general-purpose parts, these offer higher working condition matching, lower failure rates, and longer service life.

FAQ

Q1: Why do sprockets wear out quickly, easily break teeth, and damage new chains?

A1: The core reasons are mostly substandard sprocket manufacturing: unhardened tooth surfaces, insufficient hardness, non-standard tooth shape, and misaligned indexing. Secondary causes include mismatched sprocket models, misaligned installation, and prolonged overload impact. Soft-toothed sprockets will quickly sharpen, forming "knife teeth" that directly cut and wear down new chains, causing them to stretch and break rapidly. Solution: Use hardened, standard-grade sprockets with matching chains and ensure proper installation alignment.

Q2: To what extent does the sprocket need to be replaced?

A2: It is recommended to replace it immediately if any of the following conditions occur: the tooth tips are obviously sharp and thin, the tooth shape is worn and deformed, the tooth root has cracks, the sprocket circular runout is too large, the teeth jump frequently during operation, and the chain moves left and right and vibrates. A sprocket with excessive wear will continue to wear out the new chain, forming a vicious cycle of "replacement and damage", which is the most common hidden failure point in the chain drive system.

Q3: Can custom sprockets be made for non-standard or imported equipment?

A3: We support custom-made non-standard sprockets for all categories. We can customize various irregularly shaped sprockets based on customer drawings, physical samples, dimensional parameters, equipment center distance, and installation structure. This includes special tooth counts, non-standard pitch, irregular shaft holes, widened keyways, shoulder steps, idler assemblies, etc., suitable for replacing old equipment, imported equipment, and customized production line parts.
