IP69K Motor
What is an IP69K Motor?
Industries such as modern food processing, aquatic product processing, and automated industrial cleaning demand exceptionally high standards of equipment hygiene. Production lines require frequent daily high-temperature, high-pressure spraying and chemical disinfection. Standard motors with IP65 or IP67 ratings often lack the necessary structural sealing to withstand high-pressure water impact; prolonged use frequently leads to issues such as water and dust ingress, insulation degradation, casing corrosion, and operational failures, thereby significantly increasing downtime losses and maintenance costs. Featuring a specialized industrial-grade protective design, this series of IP69K-rated stainless steel motors effectively addresses durability challenges in environments characterized by high-pressure washdowns, dust, humidity, and mild corrosion, making them the preferred standardized drive component for industrial hygiene equipment worldwide.

- Constructed as a seamless, all-stainless-steel unit.
The motor housing, front and rear end shields, terminal box, and flange are all crafted from high-quality stainless steel, eliminating the risk of rust associated with cast iron. The smooth, seamless exterior leaves no sanitary dead zones and resists the accumulation of dirt and grease, meeting food industry hygiene standards. The unit withstands corrosion from moisture and standard mild-alkaline sanitizing agents used in food processing; it remains free from rust, peeling, and oxidation during long-term use, significantly enhancing equipment cleanliness and service life. For highly corrosive environments, 316 stainless steel is available as a custom option to suit applications involving acidic cleaning agents. - Six-Layer Multi-Dimensional Sealing Protection System
Unlike the single-layer seal design found in standard motors, this product employs a six-layer sealing structure-comprising a composite shaft-end oil seal, dust-proof guard ring, cavity gasket, terminal box sealant layer, cable-locking gland, and end-cover waterproof strip-to comprehensively block pathways for water and dust ingress. During high-pressure spraying, it effectively prevents moisture from reaching the motor windings and bearing cavities, thereby fundamentally reducing the risk of failures such as electrical leakage caused by water ingress or bearing seizure due to rust. -
Class F High-Temperature Resistant and Moisture-Proof Windings
Utilizing Class F enameled winding wire with a thermal limit of 155°C, these windings offer superior heat resistance compared to standard Class F counterparts. Manufactured using a vacuum-pressure impregnation process, they ensure stable overall insulation performance. A specialized moisture-proof curing treatment effectively guards against moisture ingress in industrial environments characterized by high humidity and fluctuating temperatures, thereby preventing insulation breakdown and winding burnout, making them suitable for continuous, 24-hour operation.
- Silent, Long-Life Sealed Bearing System
Equipped with imported, high-precision, silent bearings packed with high-temperature, long-lasting grease, the system eliminates the need for frequent re-lubrication maintenance. The bearing housing features an independent, waterproof sealed chamber that prevents the ingress of cleaning fluids and contaminants, effectively reducing the risk of bearing wear, abnormal noise, and seizing. With minimal vibration and low noise levels, it is ideally suited for the operational requirements of precision automated production lines.

Q1: What is the key difference between IP69K and IP67 motors?
A1: The primary difference lies in their resistance to high-pressure spraying. IP67 motors are rated only for static, short-term immersion and lack pressure resistance; high-pressure water jets can easily cause water ingress and damage. In contrast, IP69K motors are specifically designed for dynamic, high-temperature, high-pressure spraying; their multi-seal structure withstands direct exposure to 100-bar water jets, making them the ideal choice for frequent washdown environments and offering far superior protection stability compared to IP67 motors.
Q2: Can an IP69K motor directly replace an existing motor?
A2: Yes, they feature standard B3, B5, and B14 mounting dimensions, allowing for direct replacement in most equipment. Simply verify the power, speed, voltage, and on-site washdown conditions to quickly complete the equipment upgrade.
Q3: Can IP69K motors be used while fully submerged in water?
A3: No. The IP69K rating defines protection against high-temperature, high-pressure water jets and complete protection against dust ingress; it does not provide protection against prolonged immersion or submersion. For underwater operations, please select a specialized submersible motor.
